Providing advice and reports as an Expert Witness, particularly
in matters involving technical investigation, intellectual property
rights and alternative dispute resolution related to packaging
Background
to Expert Witness
"An
expert can be anyone with knowledge or experience
of a particular field or discipline beyond that to be expected
of a layman. An expert witness is an expert who
makes this knowledge and experience available to a court to help
it understand the issues of a case and thereby reach a sound and
just decision."
source, the UK Register of Expert Witnesses.
The UK Register of Expert Witnesses consists of a vetted list
of practicing experts such as Tony Gregory; each of whom has to
be recommended by law companies before they can be included on
the UK Register. These recommendations are based on litigation
cases for which the Expert Witness has received instructions
from lawyers to give advice or prepare an Expert Report,
usually for future use by the Courts or Arbitrators.
Tony Gregory is experienced in providing law firms and industry
legal departments with such Litigation Support and Expert Witness
services for many aspects of packaging. Typical examples have
been concerned with packaging materials suitability, pack design,
performance, patent and trade-mark issues. The decisions on a
trademark case can be viewed on-line at:
